Reflections on Life, Learning, and Legacy

Spoken in English. Their words, as they said them.
I've never set goals or intentions or anything like that. I've always just what is, it comes. I know, I do, it's not.
It's there and I do it. All these goals and intentions and all this stuff. No.
So something's coming. No idea what.
Feels like it's, it's gonna be a mountain to climb.
Don't know how to get listened to, don't you?
Don't know.
And tulips will come up in the spring. And apples will fall in the autumn.
But something's coming. Something that isn't of place. Something something's gonna happen. And there may have been some seed of it planted this week, because I've got the question.
Yeah.
Our tulips will come up in the spring.
I know stuff. I really know stuff. I know it in my knower, and I know, I know stuff.
That stuff does need to come out somehow.
Is it enough that I know stuff?
Do I need to be recognized for knowing stuff? I don't think so.
Do I need Was just knowing stuff enough?
All these people who say write a book, write a book.
Yeah. Yeah, I should write a book, I know. Yeah, write a book.
Did I say it with a blank screen? There's just a blank screen. It doesn't come out, I've tried.
And I wanted to say thank you. Thank you, Wilf. Thank you, because you taught me and I learned what you taught. And it made me what I am, what I do. I've learned it all from you.
I don't know what I've said, would have said or done at your funeral. I don't know.
But I wasn't there. Sorry.
Though I took what you taught me, but I didn't do what you expected of me. I know you hoped that I'd take over from you, take your work forward and I didn't.
I used it in a different way.
No one could follow you. I couldn't.
But I'm so grateful, so glad that I found you.
Wilf was Wilf Proudfoot who ran the Proudfoot School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. And in my great transformation from oil exploration geophysicist and MBA corporate person into, you know, that 180 degree turn, at some point through a whole lot of weird coincidences I found myself in in Scarborough at the Prowford School of Hypnosis not really knowing how I had got there.
So yes, I I just I got in the first stillness this feeling of really needing to say sorry that I wasn't I wasn't at his funeral. I didn't hear. I didn't know until the week after.
When his obituary was in the paper because he'd been an MP before he went before he went with.
Felt the need to say that. But Wilf wanted me to really take over his hypnosis school. But I didn't because I then found E of T and went into that. But the way that I teach and the way that I, yeah, the way I teach is the way he taught, is what I learned from him. But I'm not doing hypnosis. To me, EFT is so much more collaborative and, hypnosis, you have to be a bit of a clever dick. You know, it's like I am the clever dick. I will put you into trance. I will fix you and, so I am carrying on his lineage but not in the way that he wanted.
That's what I need to say now. Whatever lies ahead, there's no going back. Yeah. I'm up for it.
I'm up for it.
And it's felt like I've not been learning anymore.
And maybe that's what what fires yeah. That's what fires me up is learning something. And when I'm learning something, I don't need to set goals or intentions because I'm just, yeah, going into it.
